Spicy Mama Ramen – Simple, Fast & Full of Flavor
Share
Hi friends!
Today’s recipe is one of my favorites because it’s quick, satisfying, and packed with flavor — and it only takes about 10 minutes to make. Whether you’re cooking late at night, on your lunch break, or just craving something cozy and spicy, this one hits the spot every time.
If you grew up eating Mama ramen, this recipe is going to feel like home with a little extra love from our Chef Nida Thai Chili Oil.
🍜 What You’ll Need:
-
1 pack Mama instant ramen (any flavor you love)
-
The seasoning packet that comes with it
-
A fried egg (crispy edges, runny yolk — just how I like it!)
-
A handful of chopped green onions
-
1–2 teaspoons Chef Nida’s Thai Chili Oil
-
Optional: fried shrimp or any leftover protein
🥢 Let’s Make It:
-
Boil your noodles according to the package.
-
Add in the seasoning packet — don’t skip it!
-
While the noodles cook, fry an egg in a pan with a little oil. I like mine with crispy edges and a soft yolk.
-
If you’re adding shrimp, fry them up quickly until golden and cooked through.
-
Pour your noodles into a bowl, top with the egg, green onions, and shrimp if using.
-
Drizzle Chef Nida’s Thai Chili Oil on top — as little or as much as you like!
-
Mix it all together and enjoy every spicy, savory bite.
Nida’s Tip 💡
If you want more broth, don’t drain the noodles! And if you want it thicker, let some of the water cook off before serving. Our chili oil blends beautifully with either version.
This is one of those meals that reminds me of growing up in Thailand — simple ingredients, bold flavors, and a little comfort in every bowl. Try it out and tag us on Facebook when you make it. I love seeing your creations!
Until next time,
– Chef Nida
